Welcome to the official website of SMK Damansara Jaya! This website contains some useful information on our school. The contents were originally collated, developed and loaded onto cyberspace originally by a group of extremely creative and innovative DJians (a term referring to SMK DJ students) who worked from scratch to develop a website they wanted to call their own.
Since 1996, the site has undergone several minor changes and served its function somewhat. In early 2007, the Parents Teachers Association (PTA) under the leadership of Mr. Chan Cheng Lock decided to make a major upgrade on the site and relaunch the SMK Damansara Website with the objective of propelling our school towards achieving the characteristics of a Smart School where IT becomes a major thrust in the school’s overall plans. Apart from serving as a communication tool, this site is also meant to create a DJian Community, a virtual platform for DJians, teachers and parents to meet, discuss, update each other, exchange views and share ideas on how to handle issues and challenges, improve ourselves and excel at whatever we do.
We believe that our school provides a conducive and nurturing environment for DJians to grow and excel. This website will feature some of the great accomplishments DJians have achieved, both in the academic and non-academic field among other interesting information. The high achievers are inspiring students indeed and deserve their accolades, but without the support from their parents and teachers, their accomplishments may not have been possible. The relentless efforts by teachers of SMK DJ in the pursuit of generating great talents are truly worth mentioning. From extra grueling for examination classes to times spent in the hot sun to produce world class athletes, their dedication has been unsurpassed. And superb leadership is what has made SMK DJ what it is today. The principals of SMK DJ, past and present have been seen as a class above the rest. Role models and exemplary individuals, they have always led by example and today, SMK DJ is one of the most popular schools in the state if not the nation.
With all these great elements in place, it is just the right condition for DJians to continue to excel. The PTA of SMK DJ acts as a catalyst to spur our school to achieve greater heights and support it towards achieving its vision of being an institution of excellence by 2010. A challenging, but achievable feat - however there is a lot more to be done!
