The English language Society (ELS) is one of the main societies that the school is proud of. We have won numerous national titles over the years. In fact SMKDJ is the only school in Malaysia which has won the Datuk Sri Wira Cup 3 times, the Taylors University Debate 4 times and Help University College Debate 3 times. We have also produced outstanding public speakers who have won the JPS Public Speaking Competition, MPPJ Elocution Contest, Sri KL Elocution Contest and Sunway University Elocution Contest. We display the true spirit of Djians, ‘reach for the moon, even if you fail, you will fall among the stars’.

Objective of the English Society

1. To help improve the English language of members.

2. To build confidence of members through the public speaking and debate.

3. To train members to work as a team through various games organized.

4. To unleash the creativity of the members through the drama performances.
